Ian Rayer-Smith introduces a more expressive energy.Drawing inspiration from sources ranging from the Old Masters to contemporary culture, his paintings explore movement, emotion and instinctive gesture while retaining a sense of classical composition.The result is work that feels both familiar and unexpected — bringing movement, personality and visual tension into an interior.Alongside the quieter materiality of Wieslander and the meditative abstraction of Brandi, Rayer-Smith adds another layer to the presentation.Three artists. There is a moment when a room stops feeling beautifully designed and starts feeling truly complete.Very often, that moment comes with the art.Art Concepts London is delighted to present a new selection of contemporary works at Minotti London, bringing together Mats Wieslander, Luca Brandi and Ian Rayer-Smith within one of London’s most refined interior environments.At the heart of the presentation is Swedish artist Mats Wieslander, with more than ten works placed throughout the showroom, alongside a considered selection of paintings by Luca Brandi and Ian Rayer-Smith.The idea behind the collaboration is simple: art is best experienced where it is ultimately meant to live.Not in isolation, but alongside furniture, lighting, architecture and materials — where you can immediately understand how a work changes the atmosphere of a space.
With more than ten works currently on view, Mats Wieslander forms the largest part of the Art Concepts London presentation at Minotti London.The Swedish artist is known for richly textured works exploring materiality, light and atmosphere. Inspired by nature, landscape and organic forms, Wieslander builds his paintings through layers of texture and tone, creating surfaces that reveal new details depending on the light and the position of the viewer.Works including Silent Rain, Eden, Reflection, Äng (Meadow) and Amber Dusk No. 1 & 2 show the range of his practice, from restrained tonal compositions to large-scale pieces with an almost architectural presence.
